We’ve all been in a situation where your mobile network gets you in an awkward position.
No one enjoys their most personal moments being ruined due to poor coverage, speed of internet or dropped calls. So how do we show life would be better with Vodacom?

The Solution

Vodacom Presents: Is this your life?. An interactive series. Vodacom’s “Is this your life?” campaign dramatized the frustration of a poor mobile network by using the interactive features of YouTube.
This enable people to see two sides of the same story by simply clicking on the buttons(YouTube annotations) as the story unfolded. The viewer is given the power to see how life could be on Vodacom versus how it could be on other networks.
Each story ended with a call-to-action for users to #JustSwitch to SA’s Best Network so that they could apply to switch to Vodacom online.



The Results

We achieved 2x the Ad Recall standard on YouTube with 35%.
We achieved 18% for the View Rate on YouTube with a standard of 12%.
